Precision Guarantee
The LS Wild Armory minimum standard is 10 rounds in 1.25 MOA
This is a practical and realistic standard, rather than the typical "3 shot MOA guarantee".
Why 10 shots?
We care about delivering an outstanding rifle. A sample size of 10 is the minimum to really know how a rifle will perform. We know from experience (and science) that 3 round shot groups don't tell the story of a rifle, so those guarantees are meaningless and frustrating to too many shooters.
Why 1.25 MOA?
In practical terms, hunters need to be effective. Our 1.25 MOA standard means the rifle will confidently shoot practically all shots within about 7" (deer vitals) at 600 yards. Even better, the vast majority of shots will fall within .75 MOA, meaning they will fall into about 4.5" at 600 yards.
Here is an example of what we see during testing and break-in with match quality ammo.
We shot a total of six rounds of 5 shot groups with a cover sheet for each 5 shot group over the same backer.
Number one is the first 5 shot group on the backer.
After the first 5 round group on the backer, groups two through six were fired into separate cover sheets.
You can see the growing 30 round group on the backer. While each five shot group is sub-MOA.
Only 4 are outside the main group, but still in the vitals at long range. So 26 of the 30 (86.7%) are solid lethal hits in the vitals.
The width is .866 MOA, and at 600 yards is 5.196 inches.
The height is 1.197 MOA and at 600 yards is 7.182 inches.
Because the furthest shots are outside the main group, Twenty four shots will be within 3.5 inches at 600 yards.
Low round count groups are typically sub-moa from Preferred Barrel. Groups will always grow as you shoot additional bullets into the group.
That is why we use a 10 round minimum, to get the true picture of the rifle (and the components and shooter).
